Wellesley College Friends of Art in New York presents Fairy Tale Fashion at FIT
Please join the Wellesley College Friends of Art in New York for a curator-led tour of Fairy Tale Fashion, an exhibition at the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology (MFIT) that examines fairy tales through the lens of high fashion.
Featuring more than 80 objects placed within dramatic, fantasy-like settings, Fairy Tale Fashion includes garments and accessories dating from the 18th century to the present, with particular emphasis on extraordinary 21st-century fashions by designers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Tom Ford, Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, Prada, and Rodarte, among others. Following the tour, please join us for a reception at the home of Sara Stoker '66, located at the historic Gilsey House.
